Assignment 4: Thoughts on Network Neutrality .

The basics of the Net neutrality are the user of the Internet should be treated equally. People who support it are because they think that it is the most important promise of freedom.It affects the future of the Internet. At the same time, it can protect the small company. The Internet is not a personal product of the company, so it will be the most efficient way to set NN. But for people who do not support it, they consider NN is "a solution in search of a problem", and they believe it will decrease the enthusiasm of a company. They consider the Internet without NN is already a successful business model not only for providers but also for the user.

At the beginning of the year, the federal appeals court rejected the federal communications commission "Net Neutrality".

Net neutrality and freedom of speech connect tightly. The rules of NN mean keeping the right of free speech on the Internet to every user. Even though, at the time the First Amendment created there was no Internet exists but we now do, so we should be covered.

I think it would make me feel not be protected even I am not an American. However, I think it is the basis of the Internet environment.

No one could imagine what would the thing happened to that little 16 year old girl happen to you or your parents. This article shows the security of the internet is making people feel scared and terrified. We could keep away from this kind of things happen. The share of the movie also prove the bad influence of the spread of the internet.

I Have Nothing to Hide

No one can count how many information were posted on the internet everyday. Some of them may care about the privacy of what they post and who would see but some of them may just say I do not care about it, there is nothing to hide. The spread of the information is sometimes good sometimes bad. Like the boy who stayed in net bar for a week and did not go home can be found by the location shown below his latest post of Facebook. But sometime the location of the people can also bring dangerous to them. Every time when I was using Facebook I always asked myself would these information suitable in this public area? I still remember the time I saw the advertisements when I was reading the webpage that I was so surprised because how they know I was interested in skateboard? That is the problem of the Terms and Conditions. If you do not read them carefully, you could never know what agreement you made with these companies.

Living in a Networked World

I started to using computer since I was studying in the kindergarten, the teacher show us how to use key board and at that time, our computer did not have mouse. Then after two years, I have a computer in my home, I started to attach to a new thing called Internet. This amazing thing take a large part of my education life. Teachers asked us using internet doing homework and searching the information. I can not imagine how my life would be if I leave internet one day. But I hope it can only make our life better.
